What we make
We started with foam: a flat egg-crate mattress for crates and floors, and then the orthopedic sofa bed, memory foam over a layer of egg-crate foam with bolsters on three sides, a fleece top on a waterproof film and a cover that zips off. The sofa bed is the one most people choose today, and the one we make in the most sizes and colors.
Around those two grew the rest of the catalog: a couch with bolsters on four sides, flat egg-crate and memory foam mattresses for crates, round and plush beds for pets that curl up, crate pads that wash whole, an elevated cot, and a bed big enough for a person to share with a dog. Then came foam stairs for the dogs that stopped jumping onto the bed, and cardboard scratchers for the cat that found the sofa.
Who it is for
EHEYCIGA beds are for the dog that has outgrown a thin pad on the floor, the older dog that likes a bolster to lean on, the puppy whose bed needs washing every week, and the cat that will take over whichever bed is softest. They are for owners who want to know the size in inches before they order, and who would rather wash a cover than replace a bed.
How we size and describe a bed
Every bed is listed by its outside measurements in inches, and every page says what is inside: which foam, how thick, what the cover is made of and what the liner covers. Where our bolsters are not waterproof, the page says so. Where we print a dog weight for a size, it is the weight we publish for that bed. Where we do not, we give you the length to measure instead.
A foam bed is a better place to sleep than a hard floor, and veterinary associations list an orthopedic bed among the simple changes at home for an older pet. If your dog is stiff, limping or in pain, the person to ask is your veterinarian, and our guides say the same.
